Privacy Policy
Effective 19 August 2026
Notchland has no advertising SDK, user profiling, or in-app analytics. Most app data is processed locally on your Mac. A few features make narrowly scoped network requests as described below.
Data processed on your Mac
Depending on the features you enable, Notchland reads system state such as media playback, volume, brightness, power, Bluetooth devices, Wi-Fi name, downloads, screenshots, mounted disks, and privacy indicators. Calendar access is used to show meeting reminders. Optional incoming-call controls use macOS Accessibility to read and operate the visible Answer and Decline controls exposed by FaceTime. This data is used to render the app and is not sent to us.
If you start a screen recording, ScreenCaptureKit records the main display and system audio to an MP4 file on your Desktop. Notchland excludes its own application from the captured video and does not upload or otherwise access the finished recording.
Clipboard history is off by default. If enabled, recent text is kept in app memory for the island menu and is not sent to us. Your app preferences and tray state are stored locally.
License activation
When you activate, validate, or deactivate a license, the app sends your license key, a license instance identifier, and your Mac's localized computer name to Lemon Squeezy's License API. Lemon Squeezy returns store, product, variant, and activation status data. Notchland stores the key and instance securely in macOS Keychain.
Lyrics lookup
If lyrics are enabled, Notchland sends the current track title, artist, album, and duration to LRCLIB to find matching lyrics. Do not enable this feature if you do not want that playback metadata sent to LRCLIB.
Purchases and website
Lemon Squeezy acts as the checkout provider and merchant of record. It processes purchase, tax, receipt, and license delivery data under its own privacy terms. We receive the order and license information needed to provide support, prevent abuse, and administer refunds. Resend processes the purchaser's name, email address, order number, and transactional message content so Notchland can send a purchase confirmation.
notchland.pro does not set first-party analytics or advertising cookies. The site loads limited assets or checkout functionality from service providers such as Google Fonts, unpkg, Vercel, and Lemon Squeezy; those providers may receive ordinary request information including IP address, browser details, and timestamps.
Retention and your choices
Local data remains until you clear it, reset settings, or remove the app and its data. Purchase records are retained by Lemon Squeezy as required for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, and legal obligations. You can disable optional features in Settings and revoke macOS permissions in System Settings.
For an access, correction, or deletion request concerning data controlled by Notchland, email contact@notchland.pro. We may need to retain information required by law or needed to document a transaction.
